1 MAIN PRIZE, 4 INNOVATION PRIZES

MAIN CONDITIONS

Provided that the topics of the applications or suggestions meet the conditions of the specified categories (see topics), all outstanding innovative achievements are eligible for submission.

In any case, the submitted or proposed works have to show
• obvious innovation,
• European dimension,
• potential for industrial scale.

On principle only natural persons or groups of persons from Europe without regard to their level of training, their employment status or their age will be awarded.

The only exception represents „Category 4: Co-operation and education“, where also institutions and organisations are allowed to apply or to be nominated.

ATTENTION – NOVELTY!
Potential Main Prize candidates have to be nominated by a third party (other person, organisation, institution). Templates for the nominations will be offered at the entry forms. We kindly ask you to consider that active applications shall not be taken into account anymore.


ONE MAIN PRIZE OF EURO 100.000

This kind of award pays tribute to persons or groups of persons whose innovative achievements have been implemented in the past. There must be clear evidence that the former innovation
• is still verifiable as a milestone for the European Forest-Based Sector,
• has still impact on an industrial and/or European scale.

FOUR INNOVATION PRIZES OF EURO 50.000 EACH

With reference to the four categories of eligible topics also four Innovation Prizes will be presented.
This kind of award should serve as an impetus for promising future projects. Therefore the submitted works may still be in the stage of conception or implementation.
They must at any rate
• represent an obvious and verifiable innovation compared to conventional technologies, processes, products or services,
• have a realistic and detailed implementation concept,
• have a potential for an industrial and/or European dimension
